Parent to Parent Support Mentor Program
Know Your Rights. Understand the Process. Advocate with Confidence.
H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection has trained staff and Mentor Parents who are available to provide compassionate, understanding Parent to Parent Support.
We can connect parents with other parents who have children with similar diagnoses or experiences, creating an opportunity to share encouragement, resources, practical insight, and understanding from someone who has walked a similar path.
Sometimes, having someone who simply gets it can make all the difference.
If you’re looking for support, connection, or someone to talk to, we’re here for you.
You Don't Have to Walk This Journey Alone
Family Support Groups
A Place for Siblings to Connect, Have Fun, and Be Themselves
IEP Clinics
H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection offers special sibling activities and events throughout the year for children who have a brother or sister with a disability or special health care need.
These events give siblings an opportunity to spend time with other children who share similar experiences, build friendships, have fun, and enjoy activities designed just for them.
Sibling events are open to all children ages 8–13.
Because siblings are an important part of the family journey, we want to create spaces where they feel seen, supported, and celebrated, too.

Sibling Activities
H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection provides FREE IEP trainings for parents and caregivers in both English and Spanish.
These trainings are designed to help families better understand the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, become informed advocates for their children, and feel more confident navigating the educational system.
We believe informed parents are empowered parents—and you don't have to navigate the process alone.

H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection offers support groups for family members of children with disabilities or special health care needs. These groups provide a welcoming space to connect with others who understand the unique experiences, challenges, and joys that can come with caring for a child with special needs.
Each group is facilitated by a trained support group facilitator and offers a relaxed environment for networking, encouragement, and conversation.
Throughout the year, we also welcome guest speakers who provide resources and insight on topics relevant to families. Support groups are offered at varying times throughout the month and are available in both English and Spanish.
Get Informed. Get Support. Advocate for Your Child.
H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection provides FREE IEP Clinics featuring an attorney from Disability Rights California.
These clinics give parents and caregivers an opportunity to learn more about the IEP process, ask questions, and better understand their rights when advocating for their child’s educational needs.
Whether you are preparing for an upcoming IEP meeting or simply want to better understand the process, these clinics provide valuable information and support to help you advocate with greater confidence.
Knowledge is powerful—and you don't have to navigate the IEP process alone.
