Exists to establish a statewide training and technical assistance network focused on promoting the acceptance, support and quality of life for individuals on the autism spectrum, that is inclusive of partner agencies who will work collaboratively so that individuals on the autism spectrum and their families can benefit from effective services, supports and resources.
Parent-to-Parent Support
AACAP Autism Resource Center
California Spectrum Services provides research-based support and individualized services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. Their services include early intervention, in-home treatment, social skills development, and educational consultation, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help children and families build skills, confidence, and greater independence.

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Autism Resource Center provides families with trusted information about autism, including early signs, treatment options, education, and finding support. The resource also includes parent guides, videos, research, and links to organizations and services that can help families navigate their child’s journey.
UC Davis MIND Institute
Kern Autism Network is a local, parent-led nonprofit providing support, education, advocacy, and resources for individuals with autism and their families throughout Kern County. They offer a regular parent support group, IEP consultation, mentoring, autism education, sensory-friendly events, and an annual local conference featuring respected experts in the field. The UC Davis MIND Institute offers families trusted, research-informed autism resources, including parent education, training, support, advocacy, and information about services. Their resource library also connects families with reputable organizations and tools to help them better understand autism and navigate the support available to their child.
