How We Support Families
At H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection, you don't have to navigate the journey alone.
Our Family Empowerment Center is staffed by parents and family members who have their own experience raising children with disabilities and/or special health care needs. We understand that every family's journey is different, and sometimes having someone who truly understands can make all the difference.
We provide parent-to-parent support, advocacy, training, resource coordination, and information to help families feel more confident and equipped to make decisions for their children. Whether you're looking for a local resource, trying to understand your options, or simply need someone to talk to, we're here to help you find your next step.
We also work alongside professionals who serve children and families, providing consultation, training, and resources to help strengthen the support available throughout our communities.
Our services and resources are available to both English- and Spanish-speaking families throughout Kern County.
Through our local connections and partnerships with statewide resource organizations, we can help connect you with resources that fit your child's needs and your family's unique circumstances.
