Micaela Muro – Family Resource Specialist

Born and raised in Bishop, California, Micaela is passionate about empowering families and believes meaningful change happens when people are supported holistically, with dignity and compassion. As a mother herself, she understands firsthand the importance of having access to reliable resources, encouragement, and a strong community while navigating both the joys and challenges of parenting.

Micaela’s educational background in Health and Human Services has strengthened her commitment to prevention, early intervention, and trauma-informed care. Through her education and professional experience, she has seen how education, connection, and culturally responsive support can strengthen families and create a foundation for long-term well-being.

Outside of work, Micaela enjoys spending quality time with her family, staying active, and spending time outdoors with her dog. She enjoys exercising, biking, and finding ways to stay physically and spiritually active. For Micaela, these things are an important part of maintaining balance and reflect her belief in the importance of whole-person wellness.

Micaela’s heart for H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection Family Empowerment Center comes from a desire to help families recognize their strengths, feel supported, and know they are not alone. H.E.A.R.T.S.—Help, Encourage, Advocate, Resources, Training, and Support—captures the kind of care she believes every family deserves. She is grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside families, helping them feel more confident, connected, and empowered as they build resilience and thrive within their communities.
